When COVID-19 reached NZ the hard hit hotel industry stepped up, and Accor Hotels became the largest managed isolation facility provider in the country.
Wanting to acknowledge staff who had become front line workers, Mango recommended commissioning artist Ruby Jones to capture the environment in drawings for a Thanks From Iso exhibition. Featuring letters of gratitude from guests alongside Ruby’s works, it ran for 14 days – the length of a managed isolation stay. Ruby’s work was displayed in-gallery and on high impact digital billboards outside managed isolation facilities.
Mango told the story through media, social and invited guests, including one very special Kiwi, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, who shared it with the country.
