As the official airline partner of Visit Victoria’s ‘A Twist at every Turn’ campaign, Qantas wanted to bring to life Melbourne’s twists and turns for Kiwis, weaving Qantas into the story as the only airline to get you there.
Mango developed the ultimate ‘choose your own adventure’ story for the social age partnering with three fantastic content creators and allowing their respective audiences to control their adventure by using Instagram’s polling feature at key stages of the journey, starting at the Qantas lounge.
We didn’t stop there. The ‘choose your own adventure’ concept was mirrored on a campaign microsite, where Kiwis could build their own adventure for a chance to win. Video and blog content created by our influencer partners drove traffic to the microsite, which received 10,000+ entries.
To push the boat out further, Qantas with Visit Victoria arranged for three plane-loads of Qantas passengers en route to Melbourne to be surprised with envelopes full of free Melbourne ‘twists’. Mango was onboard with a video crew, capturing the magic moment in a video for Qantas and Visit Victoria’s owned social channels which resulted in a plethora of FOMO-induced comments.
