Colorsteel Rebrand Launch Events

Brief

The Colorsteel product is known and loved by Kiwis nationwide, putting roofs over the heads of New Zealanders since 1982. New Zealand Steel recognised that to stay relevant it needed to evolve with its customers, prompting a transformative rebrand of Colorsteel.

In late 2018, the brand focus shifted from function to emotion, and with that came stunning new assets: logos, brochures, a new television commercial and a new awards programme. New Zealand Steel wanted to present Colorsteel’s new identity to its 300+ customers and staff at two launch events, in Christchurch and Auckland, engaging Mango to design and manage.

Approach

Taking inspiration from the rebrand visuals, lighting was used against the impressive backdrops of Christchurch’s The Tannery Mall and the Auckland Museum to create dramatic effects throughout the evening. Steel structures and décor elements along with visual transformations helped convey a tangible change and give guests the experience of moving into the future of Colorsteel.

A large interactive touch screen enabled our guests to explore the brand new Colorsteel website along with new POS boards and brochures which customers could take away with them.

Results

“A ginormous thanks for making the last two evenings such a success! I couldn’t have hoped for a better team to be there to support me through my first event. Your level of organisation and professionalism have been outstanding.

“We’ve had so much positive feedback from both customers and NZ Steel employees. ‘Amazing event & great spectacle’, Sarah Pepworth, Head of Marketing, NZ Steel.
