Emerson’s is a small South Island brewery founded by a passionate beer maker and now owned by New Zealand’s largest brewer, Lion. Lion wanted more Kiwis to appreciate the brand’s uniqueness – a beer for sharing with a good friend, over a chat and a catch up.
The result: a Tiny Pub on wheels, complete with tiny dartboard, tiny piano, one barkeeper (normal size) and enough room for two to share a pint. The public could book 27 minute sessions – the time Richard Emerson believed was the perfect amount of time to enjoy a pint.
Built prior to New Zealand’s Level 4 lockdown in March, the Tiny Pub took to the road in June. An earned media piece on national tv saw the pub booked out within 24 hours.
